PureLogicol International Ltd was established in November 2002 by Managing Director Allan McLaughlin.

Allan began his research in 1996 at the age of 18 after suffering from a childhood injury which caused pain to his leg.At this time he also contended with teenage acne. He tried countless products to remedy both problems only to be disappointed by the lack of results. This led him to do some personal research into ingredients that could offer positive results to the skin and body's wellbeing. He became increasingly intrigued about how different ingredients worked with the skin and body, which gave him his first idea for a collagen supplement that could be taken orally.
Allan says: I knew from my research that collagen proteins and amino acids make up your body's connective tissue. However I also knew that collagen cells were too large to penetrate the tissue and may not offer benefits. I further learned that if the molecular weight of the collagen and other ingredients were broken down enough, the bio-availability of the products could penetrate the intestinal wall, which in turn could benefit the skin, hair, nails and joints from within. I thought there was nothing to lose by investigating further.
By chance, Allan was introduced to a leading laboratory of skincare specialists with decades of experience. Their senior consultant is an examiner for B.A.B.T.A.C (British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology). Allan works closely with the development team on new product formulations to create some very exciting revolutionary products.
Initially testing the products on himself, he came off his pain killers and started taking the collagen supplement. One week into the program nothing happened, but around the second week his pain became less and less until the pain had completely gone. To his amazement he also noticed that his skin condition was improving.
He continued to work with the laboratory this time on topical products. They mixed collagen powder with a cream containing vitamins, antioxidants, papaya and enzymes to name but a few. This formed a face mask kit to reduce fine lines & wrinkles and to benefit the overall skin condition.
The laboratory challenge tests were impressive and showed increased skin elasticity and an overall improved complexion. Allan tested the products on others, again to find excellent feedback. This led Allan to setting up his own company PureLogicol International Ltd, allowing others to benefit from the products.
Now at 29 Allan says: I've learned so much about this industry over the last decade. Each day brings new possibilities and a new set of challenges which makes it more fun. I don't know if its fate, but I can truly say that I am passionate about this industry. I know how difficult it can be finding the right skincare, after trying countless amounts of products on my own skin.
