A Natural Facelift in Minutes

There has been much publicity about facelifts and how to avoid the signs of aging, however, a surgical facelift is something many of us would still like to avoid.

Here are a few make-up tips to give the appearance of a natural facelift in minutes, which, on top of skin nourished by a great anti aging skincare routine, should help us to look younger and stay looking fresh:

• Eyebrows: Be sure to get your eyebrows gently tweezed so that you have a natural looking arch that starts and ends where it should. In between shaping, it is easy just to tweeze a few stray hairs, making your eyebrow shape last
• Mascara: If it’s a natural look you’re going for, only apply mascara to the top lashes. For an evening occasion, you might want to add a little to the lower lashes
• Concealer: When you apply concealer to cover a few blotches or patches that can appear as we get older, be sure to pat it on and not rub it in
• Foundation: See a make-up specialist to get the natural shade that looks right for you and remember that if you get a tan, or lose one, you need to change your foundation too. A slightly darker shade, applied just below the cheekbones, will accentuate the features of your face but be careful not to overdo it
• Blusher: Never apply blusher further than from the corner of your pupil to the apple of your cheek. If you apply any further, it can give the illusion of ‘fat cheeks’. A little touch of blusher on the forehead and chin tip will add to the facelift effect
• Lips: If you’re lips are a little lopsided or need a little extra fullness, a lip pencil can work marvels. To keep the natural look, use the same shade as your lipstick. Use the lipstick just outside the lip line to add a little extra fullness, but not too much

Use these tips in conjunction with anti wrinkle cream or age defying cream to stay looking younger as long as possible and defeat those signs of aging.
